EGR Nordics 2022

Shape Games has been recognised as one of the most successful and innovative gaming companies in the Nordic region and was named Sports Betting Supplier and Rising Star of 2022 at the EGR Nordics Awards, the company announced today.

Shape Games received two of the most coveted gaming industry prizes including awards as Sports Betting Supplier, Software Supplier and Rising Star.

“We’re honoured to be recognised by EGR and very proud to receive awards for our work on behalf of our clients around the world who trust us to deliver exciting, flexible and effective frontend platform and what we believe is the most engaging software in the gaming industry,” said Shape Games CEO Christian Risom.

“As a relatively young company, we’ve been named as a Rising Star at numerous awards shows in recent years and it’s always an honour,” Risom continued. “Sports Betting Supplier of the year recognises that we have now taken a place amongst the elite companies in the industry.”

Shape Games has grown quickly as Tier 1 gaming operators recognise the power of Shape’s native platform in delivering high levels of consumer engagement which produce high levels of retention and loyalty.

“Our clients tell us that we’re delivering modern features and benefits that rival the best consumer experiences in any industry,” Risom said. “This gives our customers a competitive edge that allows them to compete not only within the gaming category but to compete with the best consumer apps on the market,” Risom said.

Drawing upon Shape’s success producing apps for large consumer and entertainment brands such as Apple, Red Bull and Ikea, Shape Games is building its brand and reputation by challenging the traditional platform providers in the gambling industry with Shape’s data and machine learning-driven, native customisable apps that focus on user experience as the heart of the design process.

Shape Games was founded in 2018 to focus on building apps for the gambling industry and grown from supplying a single operator – Danske Spil – to being a leading front end platform partner to major operators and emerging players in 17 countries across Europe and the Americas.

In 2021 Shape Games signed agreements with seven new operators and added a host of new features to its offering, including sharing bets with friends, personalisation and recommendations, personal betting statistics, news features, social networks with friends, challenges, unlockable trophies and more.

These new awards add to a growing list of honours for Shape Games. Since 2018 it has won 16 of the industry’s most prestigious awards. Along with Danske Spil, Shape Games was named Best Native App at the EGR Awards three consecutive years from 2018 to 2020, as well as Best Omnichannel Solution in 2020.
